      Job Description:

      The Engineering Quality Engineer will be responsible for conducting quality assurance (QA) activities in the following domains, for which main mission and tasks are described:

      Quality Assurance in Development Projects

      The main mission is to ensure the quality of products and services provided by the Engineering organization by implementing quality assurance activities throughout the complete development life cycle at helicopter, systems, equipment, and software levels, for both military and commercial projects.

      For this purpose, the Engineering Quality engineer must:

      • Verify the correct implementation of external referential (Standards & Regulations), internal referential (EPs, EIs, MyCES part of the QMS) and project specific plans (Quality Plan, Project Management Plan, etc.).

      • Contribute to the elaboration of contract Quality Plans in coordination with the Program Quality function, as well as being responsible for preparing and implementing Software Quality Plans.

      • Review the readiness and completeness of project deliverables (design data) from a quality perspective through Quality Gate / Peer Review process.

      • Support the Chief Engineering function in preparing and conducting of (internal) design reviews, including SW developments, as well as contract reviews / meetings with customers.

      • Oversee the management and follow-up of development actions.

      • Assess the capability of design suppliers to comply with airworthiness requirements and declare their eligibility status prior to any commercial relationship with Airbus (DSCM – Design Suppliers Compliance Management)

      • Support the SDR (System Design Responsible) in the monitoring of the products developed, or services provided, by design suppliers (DSQA – Design Suppliers Quality Assurance)

      • Witness SW integration and qualification testing campaigns

      • Perform incoming inspections of the material/equipment received at Airbus Helicopters premises from external suppliers, inter-company sites or partners companies.

      • Manage product and process non-conformities and concessions.

      • Be the focal point with the National Quality Assurance Representative (NQAR/RAC) for engineering activities: management of Certificates of Conformity and when applicable countersigning of Concessions, communications according to the PAOC (Quality Official Assurance Plan)

      Maintenance of external certifications and approvals

      The main mission is to contribute to the maintenance of granted certifications (EN9100, PECAL-2110 and PECAL-2210) and approvals (AODM – Military Design Organization Approval).

      For this purpose, the Engineering Quality engineer must:

      • In the scope of EN9100 & PECAL certifications (Process-oriented approach):

        • Organize and chair the periodical Engineering Quality Committee meetings to review and validate the KPI reporting, and associated information, of Engineering processes.

        • Support process animators in preparing the annual process review reports of engineering processes.

        • Prepare the monthly reporting to the Engineering Committee with the update of quality topics

        • Attend to the external audits conducted by the certification body, in the scope of the engineering processes, for the renewal of EN9100 and PECAL 2110 certifications.

        • Attend to the external audits conducted by the certification body, in the scope of SW developments conducted by Airbus Helicopters España, for the renewal of PECAL 2210 SW certification.

      • In the scope of AODM approval:

        • Plan, organize and conduct, as part of the Independent Monitoring Function (IMF) the necessary internal audits to assess the level of compliance of the MDOA with PERAM21 regulation.

        • Periodically report the status of achievement of the annual audit program as well as the obtained audit process KPIs.

        • Annually report the status of the IMF activities to the Military Airworthiness Authority

        • Attend to the external audits conducted by the Military Airworthiness Authority for the renewal of the AODM approval.

      Maintenance of the internal QMS

      The main mission is to contribute to the maintenance of the internal instructions and procedures being part of the Quality Management System

      For this purpose, the Engineering Quality engineer must:

      • Review and validate the instructions and procedures of Engineering (EI029), Flight Test (EI027) and Quality (EI077) collections to ensure they are aligned with applicable standards and regulations

      • Contribute to the maintenance of EM3-02 “To Audit” PMP by reviewing and validating the annual process review report, as well as by reviewing and validating the PMP itself.

      • To support the implementation of Quality policy, as defined by Quality Directorate

      Languages

      • Fluent Spanish and English

      • French and/or German is a plus

      Academical background:

      • Aeronautical, Industrial, Teleco or Computer Science Engineer (Master or Degree), or equivalent
