What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Attend training and complete required testing to obtain EMR system certifications
- Participate in workflow analysis, data collection, and system testing to maintain quality EMR
- Communicate effectively with clinical and nonclinical staff to understand needs and relay updates
- Document all work efforts in detail to support audit reviews and project scopes
- Proactively troubleshoot system issues and implement resolutions for end-user reported problems
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent work experience required
- One year of work experience in a healthcare setting preferred, with a focus on patient care or related areas
- Must have a working knowledge of hospital operations and an analytical approach
- Strong organizational and communication skills are required
- Must obtain EPIC Certification within 90 days of employment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in patient accounts, registration, scheduling, claims, or health information management
- Demonstrated leadership characteristics in previous roles
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to manage conflict effectively
- Prior experience in a telecommuting position
