Job Description

- Lead design, build, testing, and optimization of Epic HB, and HB Admin modules
- Configure and maintain claim edits, claim routing logic, billing rules, and payer-specific claim requirements
- Develop and maintain claim workqueues, charge review workqueues, and billing automation rules
- Provide Tier 2/3 production support for Epic HB billing issues
- Troubleshoot billing errors, and system workflow issues
- Perform root cause analysis for system configuration gaps
- Work within established incident management and change management processes
- Support reporting initiatives related to:
- Billing workqueue metrics
- Partner with reporting teams utilizing Epic Cogito, Clarity, and Caboodle to monitor revenue cycle performance indicators
- Epic certification in Hospital Billing (HB) and HB Admin
- Minimum 4-6 years Epic Revenue Cycle experience
- Hands-on experience supporting Epic build and revenue cycle workflows
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing operations and payer requirements
- Experience collaborating with Revenue Cycle leadership and operational stakeholders
- Dual Epic Certification in PB and HB
- Experience supporting:
- Epic implementations
- Epic upgrades
- Revenue cycle optimization engagements
- Familiarity with:
- Clearinghouse integrations
- Claim scrubbers
- Denial management workflows

The Epic Certified Revenue Cycle Consultant provides functional and technical expertise supporting Epic Revenue Cycle application Hospital Billing (HB), and HB Claims. This consultant partners with Revenue Cycle leadership, Patient Financial Services (PFS), and IT teams to optimize claim generation, claim edits, billing workflows, and reimbursement processes to improve clean claim rates, reduce denials, and enhance overall financial performance. The consultant supports Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, and operational support, ensuring alignment between Epic system configuration and healthcare revenue cycle best practices.
