- Complies with all policies required to meet organizational goals to eliminate or reduce threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide day-to-day executive protection services on identified Principals
- Always assume responsibility for the safety of Principals, including personal security, privacy, and confidentiality of business and personal matters
- Manage day-to-day operational activities within span of control, to include emergency response, crisis management and recovery functions, across multiple locations.
- Establish and maintain high-level relationships with law enforcement authorities, first responder agencies and key business support entities.
- Continually identify, evaluate, and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities, and provide Executive Protection Logistics Manager the information they need to make critical decisions
- Display fiscal and budgetary discipline to meet expected spend patterns, achieve goals, and remain within defined budget parameters.
- 10+ years relevant experience in a private/public sector security environment
- Professional Security certifications
- Experience working in a corporate or financial services security team
- Former Law Enforcement, Military or Government Agent
- Experience in the close personal protection of high-profile principals in domestic and international settings
- Executed efficiently under tight time constraints
- Proven ability to foster relationships and interface with external agencies to promote functional excellence
- Experience in promoting a culture of a strong security risk and control environment
- Demonstrated a broad understanding of security vulnerabilities and crisis principles
- Articulated an understanding of potential security or safety threats, local threats based on geographic location and their impact
- Demonstrated in-depth understanding of risk management and innovatively develops solutions and makes suggestions to senior management to mitigate risks
- Experience of advancing locations and completing site surveys to identify risk and plan a protective strategy accordingly
- Experience with planning and organization of complex and variable projects
- Experience in Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communications skills
- CPR and AED certified and current
- Ability to obtain TSA/ASO certification
- Bachelor's degree, master’s degree preferred, plus equivalent work experience
- Experience in adhering current security protocols, operations manuals, and guides
- Proven ability to foster relationships and interface with external agencies to promote functional excellence
- Demonstrated experience in making sound judgements at a moment’s notice
- Has maintained corporate assets, to include lease vehicles and equipment in a state of perpetual readiness enough to meet or surpass requirements
- Can articulate basic understanding of security vulnerabilities and suggests preventative measures to assist in the mitigation of these potential risks
- Experience in working with security & safety technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow security and safety instructions and procedures; reporting anything out of the ordinary to management and obey rules and regulations set out in delegations of duty, verbal instructions and company policies
- Knowledge of realistic self-defense tactics
- 2nd language skills
- Flexibility to work on call and off hour, weekends, and holidays
- Travel domestically and internationally
- Must be in good overall physical, emotional, and mental condition due to the strenuous demands of position
- Ability to lift 50lb solid weight
- Ability to stand long periods of time
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness and energy
The CSIS Executive Protection Security Officer is a C14 level role responsible for the support of Citi’s Executive Protection Framework in coordination with the Security team. The overall objective is to provide Executive Protection and ensure the overall protection of Citi Executives as directed. Provide physical coverage for NYC based Principals, and during domestic and international travel. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Establish and maintain high-level relationships with law enforcement authorities, first responder agencies and key business support entities.
