- Earned Doctorate from an accredited university in organizational leadership, school administration, or a closely related field;
- Experience in an executive leadership role within an organization;
- Hold a valid California Clear Administrative Services Credential (CASC);
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in leading organizations through transformational change;
- Recognized as a transformational leader and innovator;
- University teaching experience at the graduate level;
- Online teaching experience;
- Strong online and blended learning teaching skills with the ability to create and maintain an environment that emphasizes learning and encourages discussion of ideas and critical thinking;
- Experience with virtual learning technologies and platforms;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others;
- Experience and skills in facilitating and leading groups, designing and conducting large and small group training, and making presentations; and
- Strong writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting and guiding research studies and experience serving on dissertation committees is highly desirable;
- Expertise in research methodology;
- Experience with the design and facilitation of innovative online learning and academic technology in course and curriculum development;
- Experience with Internal Review Boards (IRB) in conducting research and
- Working knowledge of the California Administrator Performance Assessment (CalAPA).

The School of Education (SOE) is accredited through WSCUC (WASC Senior College and University Commission) and in all credential programs by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
UMass Global leadership programs are built on strong interpersonal skills and relationships among students and faculty. The programs are offered online for adult learners. The successful candidate must have demonstrated the experience and skills necessary to facilitate and lead groups/teams, design and conduct large and small group training, make presentations and publish. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to collaborate and serve on leadership teams to oversee the planning and implementation of remote immersion events, contribute to the professional development of faculty, Dissertation Chairs, and cohort mentors, supervise the design of online courses, and programs, and be committed to continuous improvement. Enthusiasm for and experience with technology and online teaching is desirable, as well as experience in course development or curriculum. Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail are critical.
This faculty member will be asked to chair doctoral dissertation committees and supervise student research projects. Coaching and training new dissertation chairs and committee members, as well as conducting quality reviews of dissertations, are important parts of maintaining high-quality doctoral research and will be required in this role. Expertise in research methodology is desirable. Experience with Internal Review Boards (IRB) in evaluating proposed research is also desirable.
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and instructing courses within the Ed.D. Organizational Leadership and the MAELA/PASC and CASC programs. The position will also support faculty, adjunct faculty, staff, and students working within these programs. All UMass Global University faculty positions are non-tenure track and generally hired at the rank of assistant professor.

Salary And Benefits:
Assistant Professor Starting annual salary: $76,000 - $87,500 based on education and experience.
Associate Professor Starting annual salary: $87,000 - $100,000 based on education and experience.
