    • PRIMARY PURPOSE:
      To maintain athletic fields, campus grounds and playgrounds by mowing, edging, fertilizing and seeding. Clean and maintain Boggus Stadium, other athletic fields and stripe athletic fields when necessary. Assist in moving equipment and furniture as requested; store or dispose of out-dated materials, records etc. Assist other departments with manpower as needed.

      QUALIFICATIONS:
      Education/Certification:
      High school graduate or hold a GED certificate and have experience in field of work.
      Have an acceptable driving record to standards developed by the Department of Public Safety and the Texas Education Agency (10 point system).

      Special knowledge/Skills:
      Ability to follow instructions and get along with co-workers.
      Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed throughout the work day.
      Ability to learn all athletic field dimensions and use field marking equipment.
      Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos and carry out written or oral instructions.
      Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measuring, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
      Familiar with all types of grounds equipment including a fork lift.
      Ability to use and drive a 1 ½ ton box truck.
      Ability to work with others in a good temperament manner at all times.

      Minimum Experience:
      Minimum experience in the field of work.

      Salary: $12.41 Minimum Hourly Rate
