      The Waukesha County Park System is seeking dedicated, innovative, and genuine individuals to join our top-notch team as a Head Ice Arena Attendant.

      Work Schedule: this position is intended to work year around, 10-15 hours per week. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

      Prior to hiring, the final candidate may be subject to work/education/certification reference(s), and pass a criminal background and driver's license check.
      • Supervises part-time staff.
      • Operates ice equipment.
      • Assists in running "Learn to Skate".
      • Watches over ice skaters (on the ice, while skating), ensuring safe activity.
      • Operates POS cash register and adheres to cash handling policies.
      • Opens and closes the facility.
      • Provides great customer service.
      • Interacts with customers and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner.
      • Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
      • Performs basic cleaning (sweeping, mopping, and trash removal).
      • Performs other duties as assigned.
      • Must be 18 years of age with at least an 8th grade education.
      • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
      • Ability to skate.
      • Some recent supervisory work experience.
      • Some recent cash handling and customer service work experience.
      • Operation of ice equipment is desirable.
      • Ability to provide, and follow, oral and written instructions
      • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
      • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
      • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 10-20 lbs, on an occasional basis.

      This is a limited term position available from ~April though ~November. When the term is over, it is considered a voluntary resignation.
