      Reporting to the HSE Manager of Alberta and Saskatchewan, the Administrator will provide day-to-day administrative support services for managers across Western Canada. In this role, you will support the implementation of Black & McDonald's administrative processes through accurate tracking, documentation, and coordination, while also supporting strategic initiatives within the department.

      This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and develop foundational skills in Health, Safety & Environment as part of their long-term growth.

      Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

      • Provide day-to-day administrative support services for the Provincial HSE Managers and the Department
      • Conduct New Hire Orientations
      • Maintain databases, administer sub-contractor documentation, and provide administrative support to job sites
      • Data entry of New Hire Documentation, including entry of training records
      • Recording and maintenance of internal documentation and tracking systems
      • Assist and prepare, where required, documentation for pre-qualification submissions
      • Assist coordinating Joint Health and Safety Committee functions, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining documentation
      • Schedule trainings, meetings, and internal events, ensuring materials and logistics are prepared
      • Prepare and distribute regular reports, summaries, and meeting minutes with a high level of accuracy
      • Ability to design clear, visually compelling presentations and communication materials that support HSE initiatives and strategic planning, in collaboration with the HSE Manager
      • Support general administrative tasks and departmental needs as assigned by your manager

      EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

      • High School Diploma
      • Business Administration Certificate, Office Administration Diploma, or equivalent education considered an asset
      • Interest in developing knowledge in Health, Safety & Environment

      WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

      • Minimum 3 - 5 years of administration experience

      SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

      • Competency in HSE Platforms such as E-Compliance and HRIS eg. BambooHR
      • Ability to work independently; proactive, shows initiative to get thing done
      • Ability to create professional presentations utilizing the data collected through trend analysis
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Strong attention to detail in all areas of work
      • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet changing priorities
      • Advanced level computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Adobe
