What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Promote and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Assurance standards
- Conduct HSEQ audits and monitor corrective action plans through regular site visits
- Deliver training sessions to staff, both in classrooms and one-on-one
- Respond to incidents and provide support for incident investigations
- Interact with external stakeholders, including regulators and clients, regarding safety practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Occupational Health & Safety, public health, or a relevant food safety role
- Post-secondary education with a focus on Health and Safety preferred
- Valid Advanced Food Safe Certificate (Traincan) issued within the last 3 years
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as CRSP/CHSC, NCSO, CSO, HACCP, or GFSI
- Strong familiarity with the principles of Occupational Health & Safety and Quality Assurance
- Experience in delivering training to groups of employees
- Ability to solve practical problems in diverse situations
- Comfort with various technologies, including smartphones and tablets
