What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical advice on soil and groundwater contamination investigations and remediation efforts
- Evaluate and approve work on complex contamination sites, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with local governments, responsible parties, and consultants to address environmental issues
- Interpret and implement environmental rules, regulations, and guidance documents
- Conduct field sampling and site visitations as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Education, training, or experience related to hydrogeology, geology, hydrology, or soil science
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports and documents
- Knowledge of fate and transport of contaminants and remedial system design
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders
- Experience in environmental monitoring and compliance with groundwater quality standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience providing technical oversight and direction for environmental remediation projects
- Project management experience for hazardous substance investigation and remediation
- Degree in hydrogeology, geology, hydrology, soil science, or a related field
- Experience working in a regulatory setting related to environmental services
- Proven ability to collaborate and problem-solve with various stakeholders
