What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze, specify, and validate immigration forms for USCIS, DOL, and DOS filing requirements
- Develop detailed specifications for the engineering team to ensure accurate digital intakes and data mapping
- Monitor updates to immigration forms and policies to maintain an up-to-date forms library
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to troubleshoot form-related issues and enhance user experience
- Validate e-filing outputs against government submission specifications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience preparing immigration forms in a law firm or legal services organization
- Working knowledge of various case types, including non-immigrant petitions and employment-based green cards
- Understanding of e-filing procedures for USCIS and DOL
- Meticulous attention to detail to avoid form errors that could lead to RFEs or denials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Paralegal certificate or formal immigration law training
- Experience in a high-volume immigration practice with diverse case types
- Familiarity with immigration case management software such as Docketwise or INSZoom
- Knowledge of AILA practice resources and policy guidance
