      What you will be doing

      Under general direction of the Regional Sales Manager, the Business Development Representative manages an inside sales territory with existing customers, works within a defined range of inbound leads/new customers, uses consultative selling skills to identify their specific needs, and is responsible to achieve a defined revenue target for their territory. The Business Development Representative will work with existing and new customers primarily via telephone, Microsoft Teams, and email.

      Must live nearby to a World Courier Station. Although this is primarily a remote position, the Business Development Representative will be asked to visit the nearby station regularly.

      1. Develops productive business relationships with existing customers in their territory, and establishes relationships with new customers.
      2. Penetrates existing customer accounts by qualifying business needs, understanding business requirements, and executing cross divisional sales activity within the given account.
      3. Successfully develops relationships and works collaboratively with internal World Courier subject matter experts, operations and sales team members as required/appropriate to grow the territory.
      4. Prioritizes territory management activity so as to maximize time spent with customers likely to have greatest needs for our services.
      5. Successfully prepares for customer interactions, schedules a defined number of customer calls, and creates a defined number of sales opportunities.
      6. Participates in required sales training that will allow the World Courier sales force to continually maintain a consultative sales approach with all customers. Actively seeks additional training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
      7. Performs related duties as assigned.

      What your background should look like

      EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

      Requires a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated and successful sales experience including territory prospecting, individual customer needs analysis, tailored proposal development and successful presentation, and contract signature. Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.

      7. Able to build internal collaboration with subject matter experts and others as necessary
      8. Able to build customer relationships and trust quickly to challenge customer mindsets; comfortable closing sales
      9. Strong analytical skills; quick thinker
      10. Highly competitive and goal oriented
      11. Good understanding of value and profit principles
      12. Strong creativity skills; focused and disciplined
      13. Thorough understanding of Cencora Solutions and which would apply best to their individual customer's needs
      14. Strong presentation skills; up-to-date knowledge of presentation software and equipment
      15. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
      16. Meticulous follow-up skills; assertive in promoting Cencora solutions to prospective customers
      17. Strong interpersonal skills

      Salary Range*

      $55,100 - 81,290

      *This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
