What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct operational, performance, financial, and compliance audit projects, including business process surveys and risk assessments
- Develop and implement a flexible, risk-based annual audit plan in collaboration with senior management
- Facilitate communication of organizational risks and audit results through written reports and presentations
- Coordinate and complete internal audit projects while adhering to timelines and professional standards
- Provide mentorship and training to new team members and support the onboarding process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, healthcare administration, accounting, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in finance, business management, healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field
- Knowledge of audit principles, IIA Standards, and Code of Ethics
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, adaptable for various audiences
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other graduate degree
- Experience in internal auditing or public accounting
- Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley 404 or Model Audit Rule
- Background in healthcare or insurance fields
- Certification such as CIA, CISA, CPA, CMA, or CRMA
