  Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - JAVA Backend Developer + AWS

  The role covers primarily programmer with experience in Java development. The role involves enhancement and migration of the existing code base requiring good knowledge of designing performance efficient solutions. Ability to understand business flows is also key in order to support and maintain the existing systems.

  Responsibilities!

  • Rapid assimilation & understanding of existing applications and technical environment.
  • A desire to take responsibility and ownership of components/processes within the team
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively within the peer group
  • Reporting to the development manager:
    • Support a suite of existing applications
    • Make both tactical / strategic changes to the established code base
    • Provide status reports to a wide audience
    • Liase with Developers/Business Analysts/Stakeholders within region, and in other regions.
  • Support the existing applications.

  Qualifications we seek in you!

  Minimum qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, or other numerate discipline

  Preferred qualifications

  • Must know - Java 8/11, AWS , spring mvc, spring boot, hibernate, microservices, oracle DB, Jenkins & docker.
  • AWS certification is a plus.

  • Strong technical expertise in Java 8 or above, collection framework, Concurrency, memory management etc.

    • Experience designing, building and testing Java EE applications
    • Microservices
    • Rest APIs, WebAPI, API Gateway
    • Cloud (AWS/GCP)
    • CI/CD

    • Good knowledge of Spring, Spring boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Junit, Unix/Linux scripting skills.

    • Good knowledge of DB (MS SQL Server / Oracle) and able to write complex DB queries
    • Familiarity with Enterprise application Integration architectures and patterns
    • Experience with DevOps ecosystem

    • Soft Skills: Good communication, worked in agile environment

  • Experience with handling, incoming from different Upstream application; transforming data and distributed to various Downstream applications using different protocols and formats.
  • Well versed with agile development environment and test-driven development mentality;
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and working as part of a global team, as well as working independently and taking ownership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking projects.
