      JOB Summary – Operate small machinery equipment to make cardboard to customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

      Hours are 7pm-5am Monday through Thursday. 12-hour shifts and short Friday shifts can happen with high scheduled volume. Overtime hours would be 5pm-5am Monday through Thursday and if working Friday, it would be a 6-hour shift.

      Starting pay is $20.00/hr + $0.35 shift differential increasing to $21.85/hr with $0.35 shift differential as you gain skills and knowledge with training.

      JOB REQUIREMENTS

      • High school diploma or GED.
      • Good communication skills.
      • Must be able to read at an acceptable level.
      • Must be able to do basic math including multiplication and division.
      • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Follow all safety rules and policies, make suggestions to improve safety and look out for fellow employee’s safety. Work to improve our safety culture.
      • Be able to start up, run, and shut down all fab and assembly equipment, currently slitter #1, offline PSA, pallet saw, band saw, die press. We will provide detailed training on all of the equipment.
      • Ensure the quality of product produced in all regards, such as slit positions and depth, dimensions, labeling, and packaging.
      • Train and direct temporary employees when needed.
      • Run all equipment as efficiently as possible, while working to continuously improve set up time, speed, and waste.
      • Understand and handle all aspects of paperwork and data, such as quality check sheets, drawings, Bill of Materials, data entry into HOMS or similar software.
      • Be open to trying new ideas, all the time.
      • Have and encourage very strong teamwork between departments. Ensure lines of responsibility are blurred between departments.
      • Other duties as assigned. You may work in other departments when needed.
