      About Blindside Networks

We’re Blindside Networks — the company behind the hosting and commercial support of BigBlueButton, the world’s leading open-source virtual classroom platform.

Our mission is to empower educators and learning platforms with secure, reliable, and scalable online classroom tools. From Moodle to Canvas and beyond, we integrate directly into the tools educators already use, making remote teaching better, faster, and easier.

We’re proudly Canadian, deeply committed to open-source, and privacy-first (GDPR + FERPA compliant). With customers across the globe and deep roots in education, we’re a lean and focused team looking for someone who can shape and scale our marketing engine.

      About the Role: Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to lead and grow the marketing function at Blindside Networks. You’ll own the full funnel — from strategy to execution — developing campaigns that attract, engage, and convert ideal customers across the higher ed and online learning space.

You’ll work directly with the CEO and cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Infrastructure) to drive demand, sharpen our positioning, and optimize how we engage prospective and current customers. This role is part strategist, part builder — and perfect for someone who wants to make a measurable impact in a fast-moving SaaS company.

      What You’ll Do

      • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy across demand generation, lifecycle marketing, and product storytelling
      • Plan and launch multi-channel campaigns that drive trials, demos, and renewals
      • Write and optimize high-converting email, ad, and landing page copy
      • Manage email marketing and automation using Mailchimp or similar tools
      • Own light paid media strategy and execution (LinkedIn, Google, Meta)
      • Define and score leads in collaboration with Sales
      • Track and report on marketing performance (MQLs, CPL, CAC, conversion rates, etc.)
      • Apply SEO best practices and coordinate updates to web content and structure
      • Collaborate on product messaging, use case development, and competitive positioning
      • Support webinars and industry events with campaign planning, asset creation, and lead follow-up
      • Build foundational marketing processes and identify opportunities to scale over time

You’re a Fit If You Have:

      • 3-5 years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with a focus on demand generation, lifecycle marketing, or growth
      • A strategic mindset paired with strong executional chops — you're equally comfortable building the plan and getting into the tools
      • Proven success running lead generation campaigns that result in MQL and revenue growth
      • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills across multiple formats (email, ads, landing pages, decks)
      • Hands-on experience with tools like HubSpot, Mailchimp, WordPress, Google Analytics, and LinkedIn Ads
      • Strong understanding of funnel optimization, lead scoring, and marketing performance metrics
      • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and freelancers
      • A data-driven approach — you test, measure, and iterate quickly
      • Bonus: Experience in the education, learning, or EdTech sector

      Success Looks Like

      • Increased inbound and outbound MQL volume and quality
      • Streamlined lead handoff and lifecycle workflows that convert trials to paid customers
      • Clear, consistent marketing performance reporting
      • Strong alignment between messaging, product value, and customer needs
      • High-impact execution across key events and product launches
      • A solid foundation for scaling the marketing function as the company grows

To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter outlining why you are uniquely qualified for this position.
