What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide exceptional customer service in a phone-based environment to patients, doctors, and facilities
- Enter and process a high volume of prescription information with speed and accuracy
- Perform claim adjudication and auditing duties, including prior authorizations and billing checks
- Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and medical professionals to address patient care issues
- Maintain detailed and confidential patient records while assisting with patient inquiries over the phone
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred
- Pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy is preferred
- Ability to work in an office-based (or remote) setting, requiring sitting at a desk for 90% of the time
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred, but not required
- Exceptional drug knowledge and pharmacy billing experience
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to think critically and document details in compliance with regulations
