Job Summary Responsible for transforming large, complex data into consumable business databases and applications for self-service analytics and reporting. Create system architecture, design and specification using in-depth engineering skills and knowledge to solve difficult development problems and achieve engineering goals. Determine and source appropriate data for a given analysis. Work with data modelers/analysts to understand the business problems they are trying to solve then create or augment data assets to feed their analysis. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge. Job Description Core Responsibilities As a member of Monitoring Solutions, you’ll help drive improvements and create new functionality on our platforms to provide real-time data and insights to our support teams Work with a wide range of stakeholders to create solutions from concept stage to production Develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve products such as Netcool, SevOne, ELK, Kafka Be keen to solve difficult technical challenges with creative solutions Research and develop new tools, technologies and ways of working and sharing this with the team in our regular showcases. Creating exciting and engaging ways of utilising the vast amounts of data we hold to help our business users provide better service to our customers. Support the evolution of our Journey, Experience and Platform monitoring. Your skills A passion for technology with skills in the following areas: Develop, test, deploy and maintain software Network Topologies and Device Management (Fault, Performance, Configuration) Network Protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, Syslog) Linux environments One or more of the following languages PHP, Python, Bash / Scripting Experience integrating multiple systems together Interest and ability to learn other development languages & tools as required. Education Bachelor's Degree While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
