What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide one-on-one academic support to students in Software Development, Coding, and Programming courses
- Implement tutoring strategies such as active listening, note-taking, and encouraging students
- Assist students with study skills, including organization and time management
- Troubleshoot technology-related academic issues
- Document session notes in a learning management system and support faculty with curriculum feedback
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science-related program from a regionally accredited institution
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience within the past 5 years
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, SQL, and HTML/CSS basics
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students and provide support
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with software development tools such as Git/GitHub and Visual Studio
- Familiarity with debugging tools and strategies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 5-week accelerated course environment
- Experience in a hands-on learning environment focused on student engagement
