      Management level definitions
      This is an early career opportunity in the Business Planning functional area.
      This position is located at the HPE Roseville site – working onsite is required.
      Actively manage procurement processes and activities for the Research & Development team, from early planning and budgeting to actual operations.
      Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises personal judgment within defined practices and procedures to find and support appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

      Responsibilities

      • Conducts and summarizes complex data and business analyses to develop business plans, including revenue and demand projections, workforce optimization, and channel management.
      • Constructs statistical and financial models with minimal direction to forecast business performance.
      • Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, and compares actual data to forecasted values.
      • Executes market research projects, gathers intelligence on current industry, technology, and consumer trends, and summarizes research findings tailored to business needs.
      • Works together with cross-functional teams to facilitate the data collection and performance measurement process, and escalates issues as necessary. Makes contributions to research and analyses on priority projects within established guidelines.

      Education and Experience

      • Typically, 1-5 years of experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area.

      Knowledge and Skills

      • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of research methodology and the ability to manage data requests.
      • Strong analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
      • Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques.
      • Understanding and ability to support multiple job activities, prioritization, organization, and time management
      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
      • Demonstrated business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Working together within the business unit and collaborating as a member of cross-functional teams
      • Developing project management skills.

Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered.       Annual Salary: $56,900.00 - $130,600.00
