      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Design, implement, and maintain all functions of the database system, ensuring optimal performance and security
      - Analyze current business practices to identify opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval systems
      - Consult with users to determine application development requirements and provide recommendations on database utilization
      - Manage Oracle databases including upgrades, long-range requirements, and operational guidelines
      - Solve SQL performance-related issues and optimize poorly performing queries and stored procedures

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent engineering with certifications (11G/12C OCP)
      - Minimum of 7+ years of experience with Oracle DB administration in a production environment
      - Expertise in administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, particularly on the Linux platform
      - Strong knowledge of backup, restore, and recovery models
      - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with Real Application Cluster (RAC) 11g/12c and Active Data Guard
      - Familiarity with tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring
      - Understanding of database integrity and security measures, including TDE
      - Experience working in high-stress situations and under pressure
      - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
