What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and arbitrations, including strategy development
- Conduct legal, factual, and records research to support case preparation
- Draft and prepare various legal documents such as pleadings and discovery requests
- Provide eDiscovery support, including coordinating records collection and maintaining chain of custody
- Assist attorneys in responding to requests from administrative agencies and other legal matters
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience performing paralegal duties, or a certification from a nationally accredited paralegal training institution and three years of related experience
- Expertise in litigation, particularly with electronic and traditional discovery processes
- Familiarity with court rules in state, federal, and appellate courts
- Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with eDiscovery applications and platforms such as Nuix Discover, Relativity, or similar
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization
- Strong judgment, self-motivation, and initiative in managing tasks
- Experience in civil litigation from start to finish
- Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients
