What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the Accounts Payable staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Oversee complex data entry, vendor discrepancies, and account reconciliations
- Manage daily and weekly payment processes, including check runs and employee expenses
- Lead major project implementations and ensure compliance with SOX controls
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Five years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment through month-end close
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable and general accounting concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a management role with demonstrated effective management ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Explorer, and Access
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a shared services environment
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Familiarity with Sage MAS 500 and Concur Expense/Invoice systems
