What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Partner with PEOPLE College staff to develop curriculum for COUN PSY 115: PEOPLE First Year Seminar
- Instruct two sections of COUN PSY 115, including teaching and grading
- Host weekly office hours in-person at the PEOPLE College Success Center
- Develop and run two professional development workshops per semester
- Support College Success Center programming as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must meet enrollment minimum as outlined in the Enrollment Requirements Policy
- Experience teaching or facilitating small and large group discussions
- Experience working with first-year college students and/or first-generation college students
- Knowledge of topics related to first-year student experiences and resources for transitioning to college
- Knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy development
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with student academic advising and/or mentorship
- Demonstrated ability in planning or coordinating curricular or co-curricular programs for students
- Knowledge and/or experience with Canvas or related instructional technology
