What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide front line guidance and ensure effective delivery of Pharmacy call center services
- Respond to physician and pharmacy provider inquiries regarding medication requests and claims
- Review member claims history to define medical necessity for medication exceptions
- Document all authorizations and denials in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Assist with evaluating and implementing processes to improve department workflow
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in pharmacy prescription claims processing, submission, and payment
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare drug benefit design offerings and regulations
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and OnBase
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree
- Pharmacy technician certification
- Experience in managed care medication formulary management
- Working knowledge of retail pharmacy and third-party prescription processing
- Strong understanding of medications and formulary terminology
