  Job Summary:
  
  

  The Plant Custodian is responsible for maintaining the professional image of the plant with respect to the physical appearance of all the areas within and surrounding the facility.

  Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Cleans all restrooms daily and as needed
  • Clean and maintain all common ways daily to include floors, entry ways, and garbage/recycling receptacle areas.
  • Maintain and clean all light fixtures, blinds, furniture, and equipment as needed
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies
  • Notifies supervisor concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • May perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
  • May replace air-conditioner filters.
  • Remove snow and debris from sidewalk and mow lawn, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Lab sinks, lab floors cleaned weekly, including washroom
  • Coffee Bar – Floors, countertops, sinks cleaned on a daily basis
  • Shipping/receiving clean up, runner
  • Day to day tasks
  • Other duties, as assigned

  Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

  Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years or custodial or building maintenance experience.

  Knowledge and Skills:
  
  

  · Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.

  · Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

  · Dependable and able to maintain a consistent working schedule.

  · Organized with the ability to multi-task.

  · Trustworthy with ability to perform all parts of the job requirements unsupervised.

  • Location: This position will be based at the plant in Midlothian, TX.

  Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  
  

  Ability to handle and work around various cleaning products, frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling required. Use of step ladder and other equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
