- Manage assignments that are dynamic in nature; assigned projects and tasks will require broad industry and technical knowledge of Microsoft Data & AI services (e.g., data engineering, analytics, governance, AI/ML, reporting, and integration within the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform).
- Demonstrate exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, prioritization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Build and manage a Project Plan, Project Backlog, and Sprints.
- Coordinate with Project Leadership from JourneyTeam and the customer to manage task execution, dependencies, and project plans.
- Lead project resources, scope, and planning throughout implementation while managing team and client expectations.
- Track project progress to assess and mitigate risks; monitor deliverables, costs, timing, and handle change requests and release plans.
- Collaborate with consulting leads, cloud solution architects, and engineers to design and solutions.
- Direct project team(s) via status meetings, discovery workshops, task breakdowns, and other initiatives to ensure project execution, applying agile and waterfall hybrid delivery practices as appropriate.
- Ability to travel when required, but generally not required.
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years related field or equivalent Project Manager experience.
- 2-5 years' experience managing Data & AI projects (e.g., data platforms, analytics, artificial intelligence).
- Understand fundamentals and advanced practices of project management and execution.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools; specifically, Project, Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps, or other project management tools.
- Broad understanding of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud operating models in an enterprise environment, including change, release, and incident management.

- AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
- Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, CSM).
- Experience with project delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Knowledge of change management practices to support data and AI adoption.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and modern data platform architectures.
- Experience delivering projects involving Power BI, AI/ML adoption, or advanced analytics.
- Experience working in a cloud/SaaS professional services organization.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 (Project Service Automation or Project Operations).
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Shadow project managers to learn the implementation process and the tasks required throughout our projects. Be assigned to a project and manage its delivery.

- Build strong relationships with key clients, becoming a trusted advisor for their needs.
- Working with the Project Leads, conduct training sessions or workshops for team members on project management and cloud delivery best practices and tools.
- Provide feedback and contribute to the development of JourneyTeam's cloud project management methodologies and tools.
JourneyTeam is looking for a Project Manager specializing in Microsoft Data & AI solutions to work alongside our Data & AI practice to oversee and execute successful customer implementations. In this role, you will manage tasks associated with the gathering of business requirements, oversee project backlogs, collaborate with technical and functional colleagues, and ultimately deliver excellent outcomes for our customers. The Project Manager brings knowledge of both functional and technical capabilities of Microsoft Data & AI solutions during all phases of client engagement-with a focus on data strategy, analytics, governance, AI adoption, and the implementation of modern data platforms on Azure.

Compensation:
Base salary range of $80,000 - $120,000
This is the established pay range for the Project Manager role at JourneyTeam for the Azure Practice. Actual compensation is dependent on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. In general, new employees can expect to start at the lower end of the range (with opportunity to grow and expand within the organization).
