Own where you work. Braun Intertec is proud to be a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, and testing firm of 1,000 employees with offices located in ten states. As a part of our exciting growth initiatives, we are continuing to build relationships in emerging markets and recruiting new talent. By hiring the best people and helping each other grow both professionally and personally, we ensure a bright future for our employee owners and our clients.

We want our employee-owners to be fully engaged — at home, at work, and in their communities. We provide our employees with a full range of benefits including comprehensive medical, vision, and dental plans, paid time off (as well as volunteer time off), company match 401k, participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), technical training and career development resources, and access to our wellness program. The ESOP is a benefit we are proud of and celebrate as it allows all employees to be owners within the company.

Braun Intertec is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The chosen individual will manage large scale mission critical construction projects. Mission Critical projects are land intensive projects that bring about unique geotechnical challenges with significant grade changes, heavily loaded structures, elaborate below grade utility / duct bank runs and aggressive construction timelines. This puts a heightened importance on construction-phase oversight to ensure our design is implemented as intended and unknown conditions are brought forward to the design team in real time. The pace of these projects necessitates close oversight to identify and address issues immediately and mitigate risk for all parties involved.

      Position Responsibilities:

      • Oversee the execution of scope of services primarily during the construction phase of Mission Critical development projects.
      • Ensure Site Mass Grading, building pad preparations and foundations are executed in accordance with the Geotechnical Requirements
      • Oversee building structural material quality control and Special Inspections per International Building Code (IBC) Chapter 17.
      • Daily oversite for review of all tests and reports related to the projects
      • Primary Point of Contact during construction phase for the project team.
      • Daily check-in with Braun Intertec’s Field PM and/or Site Lead Inspector
      • Weekly check-in with Client main Point of Contact (generally PM); Contractor PM and Superintendent; and Braun Intertec’s Principal-In-Charge and Client Service Leader
      • Monthly Site Visits to intentionally meet in person with project team and review current site conditions, brining an objective outside (not onsite every day) perspective
      • Work collaboratively with the Braun Intertec design-phase team, Principal-In-Charge, Contractor, Design team, and Owner/Developer to understand project requirements, preferences, and team needs

      Qualifications:

      • 10+ years of project management and/or construction team leadership experience, preferably in mission critical development or large-scale commercial construction.
      • Strong understanding of IBC Chapter 17, Special Inspections, and construction materials testing.
      • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and balance competing project demands.
      • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
      • Experience with quality control and construction phase oversight.
      • Ability to travel up to 50% to project sites for periodic inspections and meetings.

      Additional Qualifications Considered:

      • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
      • Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant certifications.
      • General Contractor experience on large industrial / warehouse / mission critical developments.
      • Experience working within a geotechnical, environmental, or construction materials testing firm.

Braun Intertec is a Drug-Free Workplace and require all new hires to complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.

Braun Intertec employees are encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.

Braun Intertec offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, PTO, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and paid holidays
