      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Submit public records requests and negotiate with nonresponsive agencies
      - Process and analyze data related to carceral mortality, morbidity, and healthcare policies
      - Conduct background research and communicate project findings to stakeholders
      - Prepare white papers or systematic summaries for policymakers
      - Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting strict deadlines

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience/training in research and analysis
      - Demonstrated experience in filing and administering public records requests
      - Skill in data cleaning, validation, and basic statistical analysis
      - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
      - Bachelor's Degree in a related area (public policy, criminal justice, public health, data science, journalism, or related discipline)

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Technical fluency in data collection and analysis
      - Experience with blogging and social media to disseminate research findings
      - Knowledge of the criminal legal system and health disparities research
      - Familiarity with quantitative data analysis and translating findings for lay audiences
      - Experience preparing systematic summaries for policymakers
