      Timber Press, a division of Hachette Book Group, is looking for Publicity & Marketing Associate to join our team. This is a highly collaborative role, reporting to the Associate Director of Publicity, and working closely within our integrated marketing and publicity departments.u00A0
      Weu2019re looking for a creative, curious individual with a passion for nature-focused nonfiction. The ideal candidate will support the development of strategic, title-specific campaigns and partner with colleagues across departments on broader imprint initiatives. This role offers hands-on involvement in crafting and executing customized campaigns.

      Responsibilities
      • Monitor and track media coverage using Muck Rack and Google; build and maintain targeted media outreach lists
      • Draft and distribute publicity communications, including press materials, media pitches, and the weekly email to the Sales team
      • Manage galley submissions to trade publications and coordinate award submissions
      • Conduct influencer research and outreach to support campaign goals
      • Create and schedule social media content across key platforms and contribute blog posts as needed
      • Update seasonal SEO copy, optimize metadata, and maintain recommended product listings
      • Conduct competitive title (comp-copy) research to inform campaign strategy
      • Support author tours and events, including travel coordination and logistics

      Qualifications
      • Some experience in publicity, marketing or publishing is a plus but is not required
      • A demonstrated ability to innovate and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines while taking full ownership of assigned titles
      • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally while independently developing and executing marketing and publicity plans
      • Fluency in core marketing tools and strategies, including email marketing, social media, influencer partnerships, and SEO; familiarity with Canva, TikTok, Instagram, Substack, Pinterest, and Facebook a plus
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Interest in the book influencer landscape, audience insights, and data analytics

      The compensation for this position is $46,000 - $49,000. Salary can vary based onu00A0a number ofu00A0factors including skills, experience, and location u2014 talk with your recruiter to learn more.
