      Position Summary Direct supervision by a preceptor to develop technical and professional skills through observation and hands on demonstration. Responsibilities  Performs diagnostic imaging procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation.  Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality images for interpretation.  Utilizes critical thinking skills to recognize patients' physical limitations pertaining to age specific needs.  Delivers appropriate patient care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.  Identify, acquire, and document pertinent patient history relative to procedures.  Develop ability to assess Radiographic Images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring all relative anatomy is demonstrated.  Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.  Applies appropriate standard of precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent cross-contamination of communicable disease.  Develops proficiency in contrast material and adverse reactions to contrast media.  Adhere to Orlando Health policy, procedures, protocols, mission statements and commitment to excellence standards.  Learn the necessary skills required of a licensed Orlando Health Radiologic Technologist so that they will be equipped to work independently upon graduation and successful completion of introductory period. Qualifications Education/Training Must be enrolled in Senior Year of Radiologic Technology accredited school. Must have pre-approval from school to apply to internship. Licensure/Certification BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire. Experience No experience required.
