What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee daily operations and all aspects of the Core Facility under the supervision of a Faculty Scientific Director
- Develop flow cytometry/cell sorting protocols and specialized methods in collaboration with users
- Operate and maintain analysis/sorting equipment and participate in the selection of new technology
- Recruit, train, and conduct workshops for new facility staff and users
- Manage data storage, backup, and retrieval, and troubleshoot network issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- M.Sc. degree in a relevant biomedical field
- Ph.D. with 5+ years of research lab experience, including at least 3 years of direct flow cytometry experience
- Strong technical background in biological sciences and complex flow cytometry assays
- Experience in independent operation of a high-speed cell sorter
- Proven experience in managing staff and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a core facility setting is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with advanced techniques in cytometry and related fields
