      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop and maintain computational methods and data sets for real estate value estimates of agricultural and horticultural crops
      - Write annual reports, grants, and contracts while collaborating with faculty members
      - Conduct research projects related to land use and fiscal impact assessments
      - Present annual estimates at public hearings and conduct educational programs for stakeholders
      - Mentor and supervise students in research initiatives

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Master’s degree in economics with significant related professional experience
      - Outstanding database management and analytics skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Oracle, SAS, and Adobe
      - Excellent oral and written communication skills
      - Demonstrated experience in delivering financial education to stakeholders
      - Direct experience advising undergraduate and graduate students in research

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Demonstrated success in scholarship and teaching relevant to agricultural economics
      - Experience developing crop net return budgets and familiarity with Virginia’s special tax assessment
      - Proficiency in statistical computing programs such as R, Python, or Stata
      - Experience with GIS and related programs
      - Strong background in economic theory, statistical programming, and quantitative analysis
