What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and caregivers, providing education on disease state, therapy options, and support services
- Oversee access coordination, including affordability program enrollment and prior authorization processes to ensure timely therapy initiation
- Deliver personalized patient care, developing tailored education and resource plans based on individual needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance patient experience and address access challenges
- Monitor market trends and regulatory shifts to adjust strategies and communicate updates effectively
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on patient support or market access
- Proven ability to engage empathetically with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Experience with specialty therapies in chronic or acute care settings, particularly in launching new therapies
- Strong understanding of the patient access landscape, including payer and reimbursement challenges
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in rare disease management and buy & bill processes
- Familiarity with HIPAA, FDA, and OIG guidelines
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred
- Background in complex patient-case management
- Involvement with advocacy groups or rare disease-related events
