What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform nuclear and non-nuclear risk and hazard analyses to ensure safe operation of facilities
- Conduct hazard identification, hazard analysis, and facility hazard categorization
- Develop safety basis documents, including un-reviewed safety question determinations and documented safety analysis
- Communicate effectively with management, project team members, DOE customers, and federal regulators
- Ensure compliance with safety assessment documents and facility safety plans
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry
- Prior experience in a DOE setting
- Ability to produce written documents with a clearly organized structure and grammar
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment and satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Current DOE Q Clearance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working at one or more DOE facilities
