- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to gather detailed business requirements.
- Document user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, BRDs/FRDs, and use cases.
- Perform gap analysis across Salesforce clouds and integrated systems.
- Convert business requirements into system-level specifications aligned with Salesforce platform capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, etc.).
- Work with architects and developers to validate feasibility, design options, and solution approach.
- Understand Apex triggers, LWC behavior, platform limits, APIs, and data models (without needing to code).
- Collaborate with Scrum teams for sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and prioritization.
- Validate functionality during system testing; define and support UAT scenarios with business users.
- Review release notes, coordinate deployments, and support environment readiness.
- Act as a communication bridge between Product Owners, SMEs, offshore teams, architects, and QA.
- Present solution proposals, functional impacts, and change recommendations.
- Manage expectations around timelines, risks, dependencies, and change requests.
- Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, security standards, and data governance policies.
- Support audit/compliance inquiries such as permission reviews, data access mapping, and SOX-related documentation (if applicable).
- Maintain functional documentation and process traceability.
- Identify opportunities to automate or optimize business workflows using Flows, OmniStudio (if applicable), or declarative capabilities.
- Provide training, help documentation, and end-user enablement materials.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce seasonal releases and advise business on upcoming impacts.
- 4-8+ years as a Salesforce BA, Tech BA, or hybrid Admin/BA.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce features: Flows, Reports/Dashboards, Data Model, Security Model.
- Understanding of Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Integration patterns (REST/SOAP), and API lifecycle.
- Experience with tools: Jira, Confluence, Postman, Lucidchart, Workbench, Data Loader, DevOps tools (Copado/Gearset - preferred).
- Strong analytical and process modeling capabilities (AS-IS, TO-BE).
- Experience gathering requirements from business teams in sales, service, operations, or marketing.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, solution-oriented user stories.
- Excellent written and verbal communication suitable for US stakeholders.
- Ability to run workshops independently and drive consensus.
- Experience working in onsite-offshore Agile teams.
- Salesforce Administrator (ADM-201)
- Salesforce Business Analyst Certification
- App Builder, Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Consultant (nice to have)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
The Salesforce Technical Business Analyst serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the Salesforce technical team. The role requires a combination of strong business analysis skills, hands-on Salesforce functional/technical knowledge, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable, compliant, and high-quality Salesforce solutions. The BA will support complex enterprise environments involving multi-cloud solutions, API integrations, DevOps, and Agile delivery
