  As a Security Guard - Flex Plant Patrol Driver in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service.   What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Carry out regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, taking appropriate actions as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials of personnel and visitors.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as required, following Allied Universal protocols and client site guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations during each shift.
  • Communicate professionally with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management to address questions and/or concerns.

  Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
