  As a Security Officer Grounds Patrol Guard in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic commercial real estate location supporting a leading life sciences organization. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.   What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property issues that could impact daily operations.
  • Support site operations by completing incident reports, maintaining visible presence throughout the location, and following post orders and Allied Universal standards for an unarmed patrol assignment.

  Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
