      Job Description

      As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to each shift while responding to security-related concerns with care and professionalism.

      What You'll Do:

      • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
      • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site guidelines.
      • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
      • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, and contractors while following post instructions and established protocols.
      • Document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or policy concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts as needed.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Be at least 21 years of age.
      • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
      • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
      • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
      • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
      • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
