What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and train large-scale machine learning models focused on genomics, proteomics, and chemistry
- Conduct experimental design to explore the capabilities and limitations of developed foundation models
- Mentor team members and lead research initiatives while crafting strategic roadmaps
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to enhance platforms for large-scale foundation model applications
- Engage with the research community through publications, presentations, and collaborative projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Computational Biology
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in deep learning, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, structural biology, or related fields
- Proven track record of excellence in engineering and research
- Strong understanding of modern AI techniques, including deep learning for sequences and large neural networks
- Excellent software engineering skills in Python, C++, or similar programming languages
