What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct site visits to document conditions leading to claims and litigation against the City of Seattle
- Research and interpret various physical and electronic records related to infrastructure
- Collaborate with field operations to gather necessary data and assessments
- Draft and edit investigation response reports and documents for the City Attorney's Office
- Provide litigation testimony and support risk management initiatives within the department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or two (2) years of college-level coursework in engineering and construction technology
- Four (4) years of experience in civil engineering or construction technology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple processes

- Knowledge of tort law
- Experience in a multi-cultural workplace with diverse customer interactions
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage field assignments in various weather conditions and construction environments
