Job Description

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s or MACC a plus)
- Active CPA certification (required)
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, and experience in a retail automotive controller role preferred
- Deep understanding of dealership accounting, financial operations, and internal controls
- Expert-level proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficient with Tekion and Microsoft Excel
- Proven success leading accounting teams in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment
- Demonstrated experience as a Change Agent, driving process improvements, system upgrades, and operational transformation
- Proven ability to serve as a Financial Facilitator, partnering with operational leaders to guide decision-making, budgeting, and profitability
- Lead all dealership accounting functions, technical accounting functions, internal financial reporting, external financial reporting, and several direct reports
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP and Manufacturer requirements
- Partner with CFO, Owners, Store Directors, and department leaders to support operational and financial goals
- Support and develop a team of accounting managers and staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment
- Oversee cash flow, bank reconciliations, floor plan management, and overall treasury functions
- Maintain robust internal controls across all locations to ensure accuracy and safeguard company assets
- Support audit preparation, tax filings, and compliance-related activities
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and reduce closing timelines
- Leverage Tekion for reporting, integration, and optimization of financial operations
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Strategic thinker with high integrity and business acumen
- Ability to adapt and apply accounting best practices across multiple rooftops

- Competitive Compensation: $175,000 – $225,000 with the opportunity to add incentives
