      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop, implement, and evaluate research program operating policies and procedures to ensure compliance and meet institutional objectives
      - Serve as the unit liaison and key spokesperson to internal and external stakeholders
      - Develop and audit research program budgets
      - Oversee the effective use of research and office space to facilitate growth
      - Supervise at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees, managing hiring, performance, and conduct

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in research administration, operations, or management within a complex academic, medical, or research institution
      - PhD required
      - Experience with pre-award and post-award processes for federal and non-federal sponsors
      - Knowledge of federal research regulations, including NIH grants policy statements
      - Strong financial management principles in a non-profit/academic setting

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Deep working knowledge of federal research regulations, including NIH grants policy statements
      - Experience with both pre-award and post-award processes for a broad portfolio of sponsors
      - Familiarity with human subjects and financial management principles in a non-profit/academic setting
