What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare, review, or modify electrical substation systems and designs
- Incorporate design changes using Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Coordinate electrical equipment lists with other disciplines
- Prepare project-specific technical specifications
- Perform service load calculations and power systems analysis
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 11+ years of electrical engineering and consulting experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school
- Possess PE certification or the ability to obtain licensure within 1 year
- Good understanding of NEC, NESC, and other electrical safety regulations
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, and Power system modeling software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Working Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) standards
- Experience with solar power design and development
- DoD Security Clearance a plus
- Interactions with utility power, grid systems, and interfaces
- Usage of SEL products
