What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Advise and assist faculty, students, and staff in designing ethical research and provide regulatory interpretation
- Conduct preliminary reviews of research protocol submissions, including risk/benefit analyses
- Write memoranda summarizing outcomes of pre-reviews and proposed changes
- Prepare agreements with external institutions engaged in collaborative research
- Respond to inquiries from research subjects and provide constituent support
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree with strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative or regulatory environment, preferably in human research protections
- A related master’s degree may substitute for experience on a 1:1 basis
- Familiarity with social, behavioral, and educational research IRB processes is desirable
