      Job Summary

      We are looking for a candidate with Insurance Risk Experience as well as ORSA experience to join our AFS Risk Team and be responsible for developing tactical strategy and delivering plans, formulate associated practice and to ensure operational implementation and adoption across a single practice in term of risk methodology, governance and delivery objectives

      Job Description

      Enterprise-wide Risk Management:

      • Providing Subject Matter Expertise to Risk types
      • AFS Group Risk Culture Programme Lead
      • ORSA Coordination and alignment to ICAAP Process
      • AFS Group Emerging Risks - Research, consolidation and serve as the AFS Group representative at respective ABSA Group steerco's / committees
      • ERM conformance reviews, oversight & specialist deep dive reviews as required
      • Monitor and adjust risk appetite statements & challenge limits as required
      • Facilitate cascade of ABSA Group risk appetite for all risk types to Business Areas
      • Monitor, review and challenge Business Area risk profile against approved risk appetite for all risk types
      • Review and challenge Business Area risk strategy, ensuring it is within Business Areas appetite
      • Review and maintenance of the overall AFS Group risk profile
      • Identify, manage, monitor and report on AFS Group specific risks
      • Provide input and challenge to the Combined Assurance Plans
      • Maintain and review materiality and proportionality matrix for risk related reporting, notification and escalation
      • Confirm Business Area risk management capabilities are met (in consultation with specialist risk type officers)
      • Scenario planning: Provide inputs, participate in the analysis and coordinate on reporting of the outputs
      • Enterprise-wide Risk Management related projects & change management lead for AFS Group.
      • AFS group risk assessments and AGL Group risk assessments
      • AFS group ERMF custodian
      • Stakeholder Management: Build and Maintain effective Relationships with relevant stakeholders
      • Risk Reporting: Identify, assess and Report key risks arising from significant events, investigations, audit and control issues
      • Risk and Control: Adherence to Policies, Procedures and Regulations

      Education

      Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
