      PURPOSE OF THE JOB

      The quality department is responsible for ensuring the performance of the Rituals assortment, product specifications, and that all products surpass predefined quality standards prior to market introduction. In addition, the team ensures that all products are proven to comply with its country of operations legal legislation. The quality department actively manages, in close cooperation with our suppliers and internal stakeholders, to continuously provide the best quality products to our current and future customers worldwide.

      In this position, you:

      • Report to Head of Quality Assurance as a part of the sourcing, quality and regulatory department;
      • Act as a first point of contact for internal departments, (international) Rituals sales organization and authorities for any high-impact & strategic quality related topics;
      • Act as a first point of contact for market surveillance authorities with regards to our complete product portfolio.

      YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES

      When it comes to Professional Development , you:

      • Are responsible for delivering Rituals’ quality strategy commitments;
      • Lead global processes across complete assortment, working with and providing direction to own team to drive compliance with agreed ways of working, product performance standards and applicable legislation;
      • Implement quality processes, identifies and reports on performance, incidents and gaps and advises management and other relevant parties;
      • Initiate, create and implement structural improvements and innovations within quality processes and systems;
      • Have the ability to drive working parties and show leadership capabilities in area of specialism, mentoring & coaching peers where necessary.

      When it comes to (Project) management , you:

      • Lead, mentors and coaches a team of 5 experienced quality professionals, offering them guidance and support whenever required;
      • Manage key projects that contribute to the further roll-out of our long term quality strategy, leading cross-functional project teams.

      Operations

      In this role you will be a supervisor and co-worker, meaning that you carry the responsibility for your own product category. In this role, with the support of an experienced quality specialist, you will:

      • Perform technical analysis of new packaging designs and provide feedback to project teams with respect to design viability. Also identifying possible risks and solutions to resolve technical problems, minimizing changes to the design intent;
      • Define and approve all necessary packaging component testing (test protocol);
      • Agree on clear product specifications with our suppliers and include material standards, functionality testing, construction and components in adherence with our quality standards;
      • For key launches: initiate, monitor, and approve filling line and transit trials and implement remedial actions as appropriate.

      YOUR INGREDIENTS

      You have:

      • A Bachelors’ degree /Masters’ degree in science or technology, or equivalent in knowledge, experience and training (packaging/design/industrial engineering, chemistry);
      • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a R&D/Quality Assurance/Technology role in the specific industry of specialism (i.e. FMCG, cosmetic packaging, cosmetics, home/air care products, detergents);
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, a good command of the English language is essential;
      • Strong project management and planning skills;
      • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze root cause, find solutions and to make things simple;
      • Strong communication skills within ability to work as a team player showing respect, support and discipline;
      • Previous experience in leading and/or managing a team(which is a plus);
      • A positive drive and eye for detail;

      Furthermore, you are:

      • Familiar with end-to-end quality processes, preferably in packaging, cosmetics or FMCG field;
      • Multi-tasked orientated, working towards tight deadlines while maintaining entrepreneurialism, managing multiple projects and stakeholders;
      • A supervisor and co-worker, a self starter, solution-oriented and able to work accurate;
      • In the possession of a driver’s license.
