What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Execute payroll tax processes and procedures, ensuring timely tax payments and resolving discrepancies
- Monitor changes in payroll tax laws and update systems as necessary
- Research and respond to tax agency notices, including high-priority issues
- Facilitate quarter-end processing and ensure accurate reporting of payroll data
- Develop and maintain process documentation to reflect accurate payroll tax procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience processing multi-state payroll taxes OR high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of experience processing multi-state payroll taxes
- Strong data analysis skills and experience with payroll tax details
- Proficiency in Workday and intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
- At least 5 years of experience processing payroll for a large organization (over 10,000 employees)
- Experience with Workday Report Writing
- Proven ability to work under pressure and multi-task effectively
- Familiarity with payroll tax experience in a large multi-state, multi-company organization
