What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct advanced risk assessments of power generation machinery and fire protection equipment
- Provide consultative services to clients, identifying exposures and investigating major losses
- Deliver training for Risk Engineering and Underwriting staff on power generation topics
- Manage account risk portfolios and ensure compliance with underwriting requirements
- Develop and implement customer service strategies to enhance operations and reduce losses
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in Power Generation Risk Engineering, or High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a team environment
- Knowledge of exposures, controls, and best practices in risk improvement
- For Risk Engineering Specialist: Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience in Risk Engineering or High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience
- Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associate's degree, may substitute for experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 10+ years of experience in Risk Engineering or power generation operations and maintenance
- Military experience in propulsion plants and power generation equipment
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Certification in Risk Engineering Power Generation Machinery Breakdown assessments
- Advanced knowledge within the energy industry segment
