What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement scalable and performant software solutions
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to execute technical roadmaps using Agile methodologies
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, including conducting thorough pull request reviews
- Focus on observability, alerting, metrics, and high test coverage to minimize risk
- Drive frequent releases that build incremental value for the organization
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an engineer building full-stack web applications
- At least 3 years of experience working with SQL or other database querying languages on large multi-table datasets
- Minimum of 2 years of experience making technical decisions in a team setting
- At least 2 years of experience coaching other engineers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience building robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
- Proficiency in architecting and implementing batch and streaming data pipelines using Python, Spark, or SQL-based technologies
- Familiarity with automation around validation and testing frameworks
- Knowledge of database replication, sharding, and scalability techniques
- Experience in performance tuning existing workflows and optimizing large-scale data processing
